WALMARK CZECH REPUBLIC (1990)
The company employs almost 450 employees. It has the total of 259 products on the market in many amounts, including products from trademark series Nature´s Bounty (45), Naturline (25) and medicines (16). It is the leader in the market with food supplements (approx 13 %, IMS source).
The share of Walmark in the total OTC market (registered and non-registered) reached 5.3 % (IMS source) and Walmark maintained its second position.
The most successful segments include joints nutrition, prostatic difficulties, urinary tract care, multivitamins for children and adults or formula for memory and concentration. The most important trademarks within these segments include particularly Proenzi, Prostenal, Urinal, MiniMartians, Spektrum, GinkoPrim and Megalecithin.
The consumers find the client program Health club Walmark very popular and in the Autumn 2008 it celebrated 10th anniversary from its establishment in CR. It has 142,000 adult mebers and further 62,000 members from the children club MiniMartians.
In 2007, trademark Walmark was classified amongst ‘Superbrands’, that is 100 most significant trademarks in CR. Magazine ‘Kvalita potravin’ (food quality) evaluated the new product of 2008 Pregnium as the ‘Food supplement of 2008’ and the advertising leaflet for Pregnium was evaluated by Pharm Business Magazine as the best advertising print.
